What's up with that red light?
NORWICH – The Chenango County Highway Department is assessing damage at the red light where Hale Street runs into CR-32 (East River Rd.).
For weeks, the light has not been changing properly and often keeps traffic backed up. County highway officials are working with outside contractors to correct the problem soon.
“We fully realize the public has been impacted and we’re trying to do the best we can,” stated Director of Public Works Shawn Fry. “The issues are being reviewed and we’re trying to get the best overall deal, economically, to resolve them.”
