Historical Society hosts antique show this weekend
NORWICH – The Chenango County Historical Society is gearing up for its largest yearly fundraiser: the 36th annual Historical Society Antique Show.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, the Chenango County Fairgrounds will host more than 45 different antique vendors from around the area who will be selling all things rustic, from frames and cookware to tools, books, art and anything in between. Show organizers say this is a chance to step back in time and be part of a more simple era. Admission is $4 and parking is free.
Every Labor Day Weekend, the end of summer tradition draws between 1,000 and 1,400 people to the fairgrounds in search of something that’s not just the same old thing. This year’s show – sponsored by NBT Bank; Norwich Pharmaceuticals; Visions Federal Credit Union; The Evening Sun and Pennysaver; Frontier Communications; Piaker and Lyons PC; and Stanley Cwynar – promises to be just as good, said show coordinator and Historical Society member Howard Fogel.
