Norwich man held on $20,000 bail after fleeing from police

NORWICH – Additional charges have been filed against a Norwich man who allegedly fled Norwich City Police officers by pick-up truck, later breaking into a Beebe Avenue residence and committing an act of burglary.

Kenneth Gregory McKersie, 28, 472 Oxford Road, was originally charged with second degree burglary, a class C violent felony, as well as petit larceny and third degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, both class A misdemeanors (see Wednesday’s Police Blotter). He has since been charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and reckless driving, and additional charges may be pending.
