Norwich man charged with felony grand larceny, scheme to defraud

OXFORD – The Oxford Police Department, partnered with the New York State Police, recently apprehended a Norwich man wanted for issuing a number of bad checks in the Oxford area and charged with a pair of felonies.

Russell W. Davis, 42, has been charged with first degree scheme to defraud, a class E felony, and three counts of issuing a bad check, a class B misdemeanor, by the Oxford PD. According to an Oxford PD press release, the New York State Police have charged Davis with fourth degree grand larceny, also a class E felony, and one count of issuing a bad check.
