Fire Dept. responds to Price Chopper
The Norwich Fire Department hurried to the Price Chopper Plaza just south of the city around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after customers and employees reported seeing smoke coming from the ceiling above the produce section. According to Fire Chief Tracy Chawgo, smoke was caused by a shortage in the track lighting, causing some of the ceiling tiles to burn and the situation was quickly contained.
