Revoir earns support of Chenango GOP
NORWICH – Having won a decisive victory over Joseph McBride in September’s primary, Chenango County Judge candidate Frank Revoir now has the official backing of the county’s Republican Party.
Once the Chenango County Board of Elections certified the results of the Sept. 13 primary, Revoir came out ahead over McBride, by a vote of 2,259 to 1,981 for the nomination on the GOP line. Revoir also won over McBride for the Conservative Party line, and beat both McBride and Diane DiStefano to earn the Independence Party nomination.
Now, the county’s Republican leadership has officially thrown its support behind Revoir heading into the Nov. 6 general election, where he’ll face DiStefano running on the Democrat and Working Families party lines in seeking the position of Chenango’s county, surrogate and family court judge. The local Republican Party had initially endorsed McBride in the primary race.
