CMH Foundation sets campaign goal of $122,000
NORWICH – The Chenango Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced that John R. Masse will lead this year’s fundraising effort. Masse is the hospital’s Vice President of Facilities Services with 8 years of service at UHS Chenango Memorial and a total of 32 within the UHS system. “I’m honored that the trustees have entrusted me with this post,” said Masse. “Previous campaign chairmen have set a high bar and I’m excited about setting a new fundraising record during this year’s campaign.”
Masse is a veteran golf tournament fundraiser, having led tournaments at both UHS and CMH. He has spearheaded Chenango Memorial Foundation’s golf tournament for the past several years which has raised up to $34,000 annually. “Getting local businesses and the hospital’s vendors involved has been key in increasing our fundraising by about 50% from that event,” he reported.
Masse plans to carry this philosophy into this year’s campaign. “We have several vendors that could participate more in our fundraising efforts. I have the unique advantage of seeing many of these vendors when they’re on site. I plan to make personal contact whenever possible.”
