Once again with the district schools of the county, a lack of historical information is a cause of frustration and such is the case with the above district.

To all who are familiar with the township of McDonough, this schoolhouse is located at the intersection of the Creek Road and the Loomis Road on the east side of the corners. The photo that accompanies this article shows the schoolhouse before it was converted to a residence. This writer is not aware if this building is still standing.

Again we have to give credit to Mrs. Jennie Preston for her research and at the time she conducted this project (1970s) even then history was scant to say the least. However we will recap what she did uncover.
