Law inducted into Plattsburgh Sports Hall of Fame
PLATTSBURGH – Norm Law, a 1956 South Otselic graduate (now Otselic Valley), was inducted into the Plattsburgh State Sports Hall of Fame along with the 1975-1976 men’s basketball team.
Law was a multi-sport star in high school at South Otselic, and he went on to play intercollegiate sports at Brockport State where he was captain of the baseball and basketball teams. He was later inducted into the Brockport Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.
As a men’s college basketball coach, he directed Plattsburgh State through the 1985 season, and led the school to its only Division III Final Four appearance (‘75-’76). Following his Brockport State HOF induction, Law joined the University of Pittsburgh basketball staff where he served as the first assistant coach under Paul Evans for eight years.
