McDermott sets Cazenovia rebounding record

CAZENOVIA – Megan McDermott (Greene H.S), a senior on the Cazenovia College women’s basketball team, broke the school’s all-time rebounding record in a loss earlier this week to league rival Wells College.
On her ninth rebound of the game, McDermott broke the school record of 644 boards set by Colleen Clarke. McDermott finished with 14 rebounds in the game giving her 650 for her career with 17 games left to play this season.
This accomplishment adds to McDermott's already impressive body of work throughout her four-year career career in blue and gold. She topped the 1,000-point scoring mark at the end of her junior campaign, and has been selected to the NEAC all-conference team after her sophomore and junior seasons.
As a senior at Greene High School, McDermott helped the Trojans capture the Section IV Class C championship and a state tournament semifinals appearance.
