According to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, Jennifer L. Ramsaran, 36, 473 Sheff Road, has made no effort to contact friends or family since vanishing the morning of Dec. 11, and there has been no activity on any of the missing woman’s online accounts, either financial or social. Ramsaran’s cell phone was found on Dec. 12 in the area of State Route 23 and Moon Hill Road in the Town of Plymouth, while her 2006 Chrysler Town and Country minivan was discovered at Plank Road Manor, Plymouth Street, in the City of Norwich on Dec. 16.

In the weeks that have passed since she went missing, the Sheriff’s Office – partnered with the New York State Police, New York State Park Rangers and the Norwich and New Berlin Police departments – have executed a number of search warrants at the Ramsaran home and its surrounding 18 acres, also interviewing her husband, Ganesh Remy Ramsaran, and the couple’s three children. The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office reported that detectives are still awaiting forensic results in the case and are continuing to search for leads. According to Sheriff Ernest R. Cutting Jr., the various law enforcement agencies working the case will re-evaluate the situation once those results are made available before deciding how to proceed.
