Two individuals, whose names were not released as of press time, were transported via UVAC ambulance to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital after falling through the ice at Hunts Pond, while another pair were evaluated and treated on the scene. A dog, in addition to the group’s equipment, was also safely rescued. Authorities reported that the four individuals were ice fishing when the ice began to crack. The two subjects who had fallen in were able to extricate themselves prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, while the second pair were stranded on the ice before being rescued.
