City approves next step in water filtration plant project

NORWICH – The Common Council has unanimously voted to take the next step in the ongoing water filtration plant project.

The council officially authorized replacement of the 100-year-old drinking water filtration plant on Rexford Street during a council meeting Tuesday. According the adopted resolution, all necessary measures for building a new filtration plant, including compliance with the provisions of the State Environmental Quality Review Act, have been carried out.
