S-E girls win conference bowling championship

ROME – Sherburne-Earlville’s girls bowling team completed its regular season earlier this month with a first-place finish in the Center State Conference tourney, and a runner-up performance in the Section III Class C-D tournament.
In the CSC event at Rome’s King Pin Lanes, the Marauders recorded the top three individual games and the top two overall series’ finishing with a 2,341 total to top Frankfort-Schuyler by 96 pins.
Mandi LaClair posted the high game with a 197, S-E’s Kylee Moryl tossed a 193, and Alyssa Miles completed the sweep rolling a 182. Moryl and LaClair flipped spots for high series with Moryl topping out at 544 and LaClair at 531.
LaClair finished the league season with the high overall game (251) and series (654). The Marauders, 8-0 in division play, also placed LaClair, Moryl, and Ruth Davis on the first team division all-stars.
LaClair will continue her season March 2-3 as a member of the Section III team in the state bowling tournament at Mattydale.
