NORWICH – Following an extensive three-month search, The Norwich Business Improvement District has named a new administrator to fill the position left vacant in December, and is now looking to move forward in its mission of making downtown a vibrant symbol of the Norwich community.

On Friday, newly-appointed BID Administrator Ann Stevens Coe took the reigns of the BID director for the first time, under the training and supervision of outgoing interim director and BID board member Pegi LoPresti. As a lifelong resident, Coe said she looks forward to new opportunities to work within the community and maintains an optimistic outlook for an agenda that’s full of “new things to learn.”

“I’m really looking forward to this job. I just think this is a great community where there is a lot that’s going on and I just want to be a part of it,” Coe said, noting that community involvement has always been a large part of her lifestyle. She has previously served on the marketing committee for the United Way, and as a member of the Chenango SPCA board. Moreover, she has served a volunteer role for the annual Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival for the last 19 years and currently uses her spare time to teach a fitness class.
