Three charged following March 18 drug raid; Sheriff’s Office responds to bomb scare in Sherburne last night

SHERBURNE – Three people have been charged following the execution of a ‘no knock’ search warrant by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 5:30 p.m. at 5A Knapp St. in the Village of Sherburne on March 18.

The raid followed a lengthy investigation by Narcotics Detectives into the distribution of heroin. Chenango County Court Judge Frank Revoir issued the search warrant.

During the execution of the search, Detectives seized heroin, cocaine, marijuana, scales, packaging material, as well as an illegally possessed rifle and cash. Three defendants were taken into custody.

Jennah I. Shreve, 21, and Joshua C. Trask, 23, both from the Village of Sherburne, have been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third Degree with intent to sell, criminal nuisance in the first degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.

Both were arraigned in the Town of North Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail. They are scheduled to appear in Sherburne Village Court at a later date.
