Seton Catholic Central 6, Norwich 4
NORWICH – A late rally by the Purple Tornado fell short in Monday night’s loss to Seton Catholic Central.
The Saints used their speed game to establish a 4-0 lead, the last run coming on Sam Stento’s single to right field in the third.
Seton Catholic Central pitcher Katherine Loughlin pitched no-hit ball into the sixth when NHS freshman Hannah Eddy doubled. Eddy was also instrumental in Norwich’s four-run seventh hitting a three-run homer.
“Chenango Valley did the same thing to us (bunting and stealing bases), and it’s really hard to prepare for Seton’s style of play when you haven’t gotten outside to practice much,” said Norwich coach Scott Moore.
