Local veteran receives honorary gold leaf on Tree of Life

Members of veteran Robert L. Jeffery's family proudly receive an honorary gold leaf bearing his name from Sons of the American Legion District 6 Commander Richard L. Hodge. The gold leaf was mounted along with others inscribed with the names of veteran residents of the NYS Veterans' Home in Oxford on the large “Tree of Life,” which is displayed on the facility's main floor. A gold leaf etched with name of veteran Neil Howard Bennett was also received by Veterans’ Home administrator Dr. Philip Dzwonczyk on behalf of Bennett's family and was added to the Tree of Life.
