NCSD hosts “meet the candidates” forum

NORWICH – Viable candidates who are campaigning for the empty seats on the Norwich City School Board of Education were given the opportunity to defend their platform Wednesday night as community members turned out for a special “meet the candidates” forum at the Stanford Gibson Primary School.

Each candidate provided answers to questions from Norwich City School District residents that pertained to the upcoming school board elections, including: why they chose to run; what assets they can bring to the board; what should be the school board’s priorities for the coming years; and what they believe are the most pressing concerns regarding modern-day education.
