Grand jury indicts Ramsaran; to be arraigned Tuesday
NORWICH – Five months after she was first reported missing, a cause of death in the case of Jennifer L. Ramsaran remains a mystery and – as far as authorities and the Chenango County District Attorney’s Office are concerned – that will not change any time soon.

“It is an evidentiary issue, not something I can talk about at this time,” said Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride, adding that, “the People are ready to proceed.”

On Thursday afternoon – and less than a week since he was first charged in the murder of his wife – Ganesh Remy Ramsaran, 38, of New Berlin, was indicted by a Chenango County grand jury on one count of second degree murder, a class A-1 felony, in connection with the alleged crime.
