87-year-old Plymouth man in stable condition; missing 16 hours

PLYMOUTH – An 87-year-old Plymouth man was located early Saturday morning after he went missing for 16 hours by family members and authorities. The search was led by the New York State Forest Rangers in conjunction with multiple agencies and multiple counties, including the Plymouth Fire Department and Norwich Ambulance Services.

The search for Henry Holmes began at approximately 3 p.m. Friday when family members noticed he was missing after last being seen at a Star View Lane residence in Plymouth. After searching for some time without success Holmes’ family called authorities who began an extensive exploration of the Plymouth Reservoir region. A canine was used to scour the area immediately surrounding the residence to no avail. At approximately 11:30 p.m. the search was called off for the night with no sign of the missing Holmes.
