Election results: Village of Oxford
OXFORD – Of Oxford’s 857 eligible voters, 295 took to the polls Tuesday in an attempt to make their voices heard regarding the village’s mayor, two board of trustee spots and the village justice. 285 votes were cast by machine and ten sent in by absentee ballot. In the 2011 election, only 106 voters showed up to weigh-in and in 2010, only 58 residents voted - making this year’s turn-out a rather substantial one.

Write-in candidates Lawrence E. Olsen and Shirley J. Schultz received six and 77 votes respectively, while five write-in votes were submitted for miscellaneous candidates.
The Honorable John V. Weidman won the position for Village of Oxford Justice with 228 votes. According to the commissioners, there were 11 write-in votes received for miscellaneous candidates.

Zachary J. Crandall received 75 votes, one more than Hilary M. Wilcox who received 74 votes by write-in. Catherine A. Ulfik garnered 51 votes. There were an additional 7 votes for miscellaneous candidates for trustee.
