Hamilton edges Oxford; Norwich nips Afton

OXFORD – Hamilton won a pitching duel with Oxford Monday night in the Otsenango Pony League as winning pitcher Matt Paljarvi allowed just three Oxford hits, while striking out 12 in a six-inning win.
Oxford starter Tommy Voce allowed just two runs – both coming in the top of the fifth – striking out four and walking three.
Oxford's lone tally came in the bottom half of the fifth. Daniel Lawton reached on an error, and eventually came home on Angelo Gonzalez's RBI single.
Kevin Davis had two of Oxford's three hits in the game.

Norwich 4, Afton 3
AFTON – Norwich built a 4-1 lead, and survived Afton's seventh-inning rally to hold on for a one-run victory, Monday night in the Otsenango Pony League.
Norwich pitchers Nick Murphy and Gabe Gojani combined on the victory allowing just one Afton hit.
Murphy led Norwich with three hits in the game, two of those doubles
KJ Ives had a single RBI for Afton in the loss.
