2013 Greater Norwich Foundation Scholarship recipients announced

NORWICH – The 2013 Greater Norwich Foundation Scholarship recipients gathered at NBT Bank in Norwich on Monday.
Recent graduates of Norwich High School and recipients of the Greater Norwich Foundation scholarships are as follows: the Alan Horovitz Sports Person of the Year Award, Kyle Edwards, attending St. Lawrence University; the Alan Horovitz All Around Student Award, Cassandra Sutton, attending the University of Vermont; the Clara Robbins Memorial Scholarship Awards, Grant Brightman, attending St. Lawrence University; Kathleen Callahan, attending Ithaca College; Tambria Schroeder, attending SUNY Brockport; Daniel Carson attending High Point University; the Marcia Stewart Memorial Scholarship, Thomas Whitney attending Ithaca College; the Linda Sands Memorial Scholarship, Laurence Zagada, attending LeMoyne College; the Joseph Rotundo Memorial Scholarship, Kathleen Callahan, attending Ithaca College; the Margaret Forsythe Scholarship, Tylyn Seamon-Lawton, attending Hartwick College; the John & James Westcott Memorial Scholarship, Taryn Howe attending Hartwick College ; the Harrison & Betty Edwards Science Scholarship, Cody Graves attending Clarkson; the Esther C. Flanagan Scholarship, Taryn Howe, attending Hartwick College.
In total, $45,750 in scholarships was awarded this year by the Greater Norwich Foundation. In addition to the above scholarships, the Foundation provided a total of
$301,379 to non-profit community organizations in the greater Norwich area during the fiscal year ended March 31, 2013. A copy of the annual report is available in the Norwich office of NBT Bank.
