NHS Class of 1962 dedicates bench, funds

Members of the Norwich High School Class of 1962 traveled from all over the country to gather in front of the former high school on West Main Street in Norwich for a special ceremony to dedicate a granite bench to the memory of their 17 classmates who are now deceased. During the ceremony, a special tribute was given by NHS class of ‘62 graduate and Vietnam War veteran Howard Burdick. Donations for the memorial exceeded costs, which also allowed for a large donation to the Chenango County Historical Society, courtesy the Class of 1962. Photo by Shawn Magrath.
