Championship Norwich Oxford Little League A-Team goes undefeated

CHENANGO COUNTY – The Norwich Oxford Little League A-Team All-Stars went undefeated to become champions of the 2nd annual Bainbridge All-Star Tournament. In the first round, NOX put down Walton 14-5, while in second round they held Greene 4-0. The third round found the team routing Bainbridge 13-0, and the team finished Sidney handily 9-1 in the championship game. All things told, players from Norwich and Oxford outscored and outpaced their opponents 40-6. The team had outstanding pitching, defense and hitting. NOX looks to take this momentum into the Frank Giltner & Don Collier Memorial Tournament, which kicked off with pool play Monday night, July 22 and goes into double elimination this weekend July 27-28. Come on down to Veterans Field this weekend to catch some live Little League action from the best teams in the area. NOX welcomes Johnson City, Harpursville, Oneonta, Otego, Greene, Unadilla Valley-Edmeston this weekend. Games start at 9 a.m. and go throughout the day.
