GREENE – Sidney led from the outset and handed Greene its first MAC division loss of the season Wednesday.
Mackensie Gravelin scored three minutes into the game with a pass from Katie Kirk. After Kirk upped the lead to two goals, Greene’s prolific offensive threat, Paige Wilcox, pared the lead in half with an unassisted tally. Kirk followed that goal with her second of the game at the 21:27 mark of the opening half.
“We just weren’t able to put anything together on the offensive end, and they capitalized on their opportunities,” said Greene coach Brandy Stone.
