Storm Family 4-H Club in New Berlin create scarecrows in honor of local business people

NEW BERLIN – The Storm Family 4-H Club – comprised of more than 20 students between kindergarten and ninth grade – are taking part in National 4-H week, Oct. 7-14.
The club’s members have created scarecrows depicting area business owners and operators.
They are on display in New Berlin at the corner of Main and Genesee Streets.
“Each family in our club was responsible for interviewing the "local celebrity" and building the scarecrow,” said Kristin Rumovicz. “They also had to make the word cloud with the person's quote about 4-H on it. The scarecrow muses are some of our biggest supporters and champions for our club and we intended the project to show our adoration for them. Our club recently won a top award for promoting 4-H and this week kicks off the new year.”
