SHERBURNE – On Oct. 5 the Chenango County American Legion Auxiliary held a Veteran’s Appreciation Luncheon at the Sherburne American Legion Post. This luncheon was held to thank local veteran’s for their service to our country. Senator James Seward attended the event and after a meet and greet time with the veteran’s had lunch with us. Representatives from the New York State Veteran’s home and Hospice with their new Veteran’s program also were in attendance. After the lunch and dessert each veteran was recognized individually with a certificate of appreciation presented to them by the auxiliary.
