Fenton MVA claims two Norwich residents

FENTON – Two Norwich residents are dead following a fatal two car collision in the Town of Fenton at approximately 8 p.m. On Friday, Nov. 3.

Investigators of the Broome County Shreiff's Dept. have identified the victims as Kristen L. Crandall, 17, and Corey S. Jones, 37, both of Elm Street in Norwich, according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.

The report indicates that Kelly A. Crandall, 37, also of Elm Street in Norwich, was seriously injured in the crash and is believed to be the mother of Kristen Crandall. The driver of the Acura – Anthony N. Stroman, 20, of Moeller Street, Binghamton – also sustained serious injuries.

Both survivors were taken to UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital and are currently listed in critical condition, according to the hospital officials.

The exact cause of death of the deceased is unknown at this time and is pending an autopsy examination, to be conducted at a later date.
