NORWICH – The Norwich YMCA will host the Thanks4Giving II Open 6’s and Co-ed Volleyball Tournament, Saturday, Nov. 16 with games starting at 9:30 a.m.

The tournament is a fundraiser for Roots & Wings Food Pantry and the YMCA’s Support Campaign, who will benefit from registration fees and non-perishable food donations. NBT Bank will serve as a primary sponsor, and second sponsors are encouraged to support this community event.

Teams can register by emailing volleyballtournamentorg@gmail.com. Please include the captain’s name, email address and phone number, team name, and shirt sizes for team participants based on men’s shirt size. There will be open and co-ed divisions; co-ed teams must have a minimum of four players (two men, two women) with two women on the court during play. The team fee is $100 for up to six players and $25 for additional team members. Mixed teams may also enter the open division. Individua players without a team may also register, and will placed on a team. Additional players may be placed on a particular team at a fee of $25 per player. Teams that are not competing in a match will be asked to serve as scorekeepers, linespeople, and referees for ongoing matches.
