Fire destroys Guilford home
GUILFORD – Emergency crews responded to a fire in the Town of Guilford Monday evening that left one family homeless.
According to authorities, the call for a structure fire at 118 Mechanic St. in the Town of Guilford came in shortly before 6 p.m. on Monday. The Guilford Fire Department responded with mutual aid from the Oxford Fire Department.
While no injuries were reported, officials say the house is a loss. Crews were back on the scene again early this morning after a rekindle of the fire was reported around 9:45 a.m.
Initial cause of the fire is still under investigation. Officials were not available to comment as of press time.
