This past November, local volleyball enthusiasts participated in the second “Thanks for Giving” Volleyball Tournament at the Norwich YMCA. Over $1,000 dollars was raised for the YMCA Scholarship Program and over 200 pounds of food was donated to the local Roots and Wings food pantry. Fifteen teams and 93 players participated with squads from Williamsport to Syracuse to Horseheads and points in between taking part in the tourney. The team "Y-Not" from Binghamton won the top division. Members of that team were George Tecza, Moe Eddinger, Saige Hupman, Todd Stanton, Elda Lemmon, and Dove Lemmon. Pictured are Katie Callahan, Lauren Laughlin, Cassie Birtch, John Yacano, Storm Cook and Garret Steiber, who won Division II. The "Norwich Tornadoes" beat Dig Deep of Endicott in the finals.
