Police in search of missing Greene man

GREENE - New York State Police are in search of a man reported missing Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Steven Moran, 57, was last seen at his neighbor's residence on State Highway 12 in the Town of Greene on Monday, Dec. 9. It was assumed he was walking back to his home at approximately 3 p.m. on that day, but has not been seen since departing his neighbor's home.

Family members advised authorities that Moran suffers from bipolar disorder.

On Dec. 12 and 13, New York State Police, New York State Forest Rangers, State Police Aviation and Dive Team and volunteers conducted a number of searches surrounding the man's home.

The search for Moran is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to call the State Police in Norwich at 334-3296.
