Police in search of firearms burglary suspect
NORWICH – The New York State Police are looking for anyone with information regarding two separate burglaries of 22 handguns and several long guns that occurred at Mayhood’s Sporting Goods in Norwich late Monday evening and early Tuesday morning.
According to authorities, the two incidents occurred between 9:52 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday. In addition to the stolen guns, police say numerous boxes of ammunition were also taken. A complete inventory of all stolen property is being completed at this time.
Police are using surveillance photos from Mayhood’s to help identify a subject. The investigation is ongoing.
