Abbey Smith scored a season-high 16 points for B-G (6-4), and Taylor Palmatier chipped in with 11 points. The Bobcats established the bulk of their lead in the opening half when they took a 31-19 lead into halftime.

HANCOCK – Unadilla Valley, losers in overtime in its previous outing, rebounded against Hancock Friday evening on the strength of its 30-17 first half.
Taylor Davis scored 23 for UV and Corrine Izard added 12 points. Davis had 14 of her points in the first half including two threes in the first quarter, and Izard had nine in the opening two stanzas.
“It wasn’t a pretty game, but it was a decent win to snap our losing streak,” said UV coach Brandi Whitbeck.

Kylie Graham scored 18 points for the Patriots – nine in each half – and Jordan Loucks scored 12. “They forced us into some mistakes (with their press), and we had some unforced errors,” said G-MU coach Jim Johnson. “They were able to turn some of our turnovers into easy baskets. We had some good looks at the basket, we just didn’t make many of them in the first half.”

Scott Lord and Craig Lord had four total victories for the Trojans (3-2), and brothers Liam and Grey Reid picked up their first-ever varsity victories. “The is the best team effort that I have seen in the past couple of seasons,” said Greene coach Mike Platta. “Everyone that swam for us tonight scored.”
Mike Sandway’s victory in the 100 backstroke was noted by Platta. Sandway came from behind in the final 25 yards to out-touch his opponent by 34 hundredths of a second.
Greene hosts Odessa-Montour Tuesday.
