Chenango River Theatre hosts raffle fundraiser

GREENE – Chenango River Theatre will host it’s seventh annual Big Cash Raffle on Jan. 25, when $9,550 in cash prizes will be awarded. With only 250 tickets being sold, seven lucky ticket holders will win one of the cash prizes. First place is $7,500. Second place is $1,000 and there are five additional cash prizes from $100-$500.
Winners do not have to be present to win, but are encouraged. Organizers say it’s a fun party that includes free food, complimentary beer and wine, and, for those in attendance, there’s additional door prizes - including rare, private label California wine and theater tickets.
This years' party will be held once again at the Genegantslet Golf Club, just south of the theater on Route 12. Tickets are $100 and are available from any board member or by going to the theatre’s website, chenangorivertheatre.org. Those interested can also call the theater directly at 656-8778.
Those attending have the option to split a ticket with a friend. Each person sharing the ticket can bring a guest to the party. There is a maximum of four guests to a ticket.
Entertainment will be provided by Chris Red Blisset, who starred in Chenango River Theatre’s production of “Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash” last summer, as well as in “Pump Boys” and “Dinettes” the previous year. Red will be previewing some of the selections from his new one-man show.
This year’s Big Cash Raffle is from 6–9 p.m., Jan. 25. All proceeds go to support the Greater Binghamton area’s only fully professional non profit theatre company.
This fundraiser helps support Chenango River Theatre’s discount ticket plans that help make the highest quality theater affordable to everyone in the community.
The Chenango River Theatre will be announcing its 2014 production season in March, with over 60 performances scheduled from May to October. To receive a season brochure, call 607-656-8499 and leave your name and address; or simply email info@chenangorivertheatre.org.
