Raymond pledges to match funds for playground
GREENE – The Raymond Foundation has made a commitment to support the Greene Community Ball Flats Playground effort. At a recent meeting the Raymond Foundation Board established a matching grant fund to assist the efforts of the Playground Planning Committee. The Foundation will match other local funds – up to $30,000 – to make the Playground a reality.
The Playground Planning Committee has already raised over $10,000 through a combination of fundraisers, grants, and direct donations from community members and organizations.
Upon reaching it's $30,000 goal, the Raymond Foundation will release the matching funds for use in the purchase and installation of the playground.
The Playground Planning Committee, along with the entire Greene community, appreciates this generous support. The matching funds will help the committee reach their goal of $70,000 much sooner.
The Greene Playground Planning Committee is asking the community to join them in the challenge to make the playground a reality. Double your contribution by donating now. Send your tax-deductible donation to: Jan Strain and Marcia Miller, 83 S. Chenango St., Greene, NY. Checks should be made out to: Greene Labor Day Picnic Assoc. with PLAYGROUND FUND on the memo line.
