It was 50 years ago today Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play.
Feb. 9, 1964 marks the beginning of the British Invasion with the arrival of the Beatles to the U.S., followed by their first ever appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. In a commemorative celebration of the 50-year milestone, owner John Nazzitto of Nazzitto’s Wines and Liquors dedicated his store window to the Beatles for the month of February, featuring a banner, original albums and other memorabilia.
“Besides being a huge Beatles fan, we also felt it would be a fun window display for everyone to enjoy,” Nazzitto said.

Nazzitto’s Wines and Liquor Store is located in the Price Chopper Plaza in Norwich.
