Artists and crafters invited to Fishing Heritage Day
SOUTH OTSELIC – The sixth annual Fishing Heritage Day is planned for Saturday, May 17, in the Chenango County hamlet of South Otselic, located along state Highway 26 and the scenic Otselic River.
The Otselic Valley Fishing & Heritage Association (OVF&HA) invites area artists, crafts people, and antique dealers to set up in the Otselic Town Park to show, sell and demonstrate their talents.
According to Pastor Carl Johnson, OVF&HA Board Chair, “Spaces are still available at the park for the sixth annual Fishing Heritage Day, and we welcome artists, crafters, and antique dealers, as well as conservation, preservation and youth education organizations to be part of this community event. Educational programs are again planned at the state fish hatchery, along with their popular fishing clinics and hatchery tours. As always, we're looking forward to an eventful day where families and friends can enjoy a variety of activities that help remind us of the contribution of rural communities such as South Otselic, to our local, regional, and national heritage.”
The deadline for registering is March 15. Visit the website at www.ovfish.org for more information, or call 315-653-7490 to get a copy of this year's vendor form.
