NORWICH – A one-car rollover in the Town of North Norwich forced emergency crews to close East River Road as wintery weather moved into the area Wednesday.
According to Norwich Emergency Management Officer A. Jones, the incident was reported shortly before 6 p.m. on County Road 32 (East River Road), just north of the DCMO BOCES Norwich campus. Crews blocked off the road for approximately half an hour at the intersections of state Highway 12 in North Norwich and state Highway 320 in Norwich.
One person extracted from the vehicle was transported to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital via Norwich ambulance, said Jones.
