Unadilla Valley’s first time on a diamond all season

resulted in 29 runs in a five inning game called due to

darkness.

The Storm had four singles to start the fourth

inning. “Ryan Postma hit lead off, he came right out of

modified last year and started the inning off for us,” said

Unadilla Valley varsity baseball head coach Gary Alford.

U.V. came away with 12 runs in the fourth and never

looked back on a night in Walton where the weather

was a concern. “The elements were awful but they

knew it was cold and they were prepared,” said Alford.
