NORWICH – A Norwich woman was arrested Thursday by the Norwich Police Department following a lengthy investigation regarding drug activity in the city.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., Thursday, NPD officers executed a search warrant at the Henry Street residence of 48-year-old Barbara L. Palmer.

“The Norwich Police have been aware of illegal drug activity at this location for some time,” said Norwich Police Chief Joseph Angelino.

According to Angelino, the NPD was assisted by the Chenango County Sheriff’s deputies, New York State Police C-NET unit, and agents from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
