'Intruder drill' planned at Norwich schools
NORWICH – The Norwich High School and Middle School will have a half-day schedule today. Local emergency and first responders, in addition to school officials, will use this opportunity to conduct a training event at the High School-Middle School complex.
This training exercise – referred to by some sources as an 'intruder drill' – will begin at noon.
Some emergency vehicles and personnel will be in the area in the morning making preparations.
Training is expected to be completed by 3 p.m.
The public is asked to not be alarmed by the presence of police, fire and ambulances in that vicinity.
