Youth charged with felony burglary

McDONOUGH – A local youth is facing felony charges following an investigation led by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the 13-year-old had allegedly broken into several residences in the Town of McDonough and stolen or damaged property belonging to the homeowners. Police say at least three separate incidents occurred over the months of April and May.
Two of these incidents had already been ongoing investigations at the time of the arrest, police said.
The juvenile was arrested for three counts of felony burglary in the third degree, three counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and three counts of petit larceny. He was processed and turned over to the custody of his legal guardian, and issued an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
