S-E principals appointed
SHERBURNE – Two new principals were appointed for the Sherburne-Earlville Central School District at a board of education meeting last night. Antoinette Halliday, previously the elementary assistant principal, was appointed as the elementary school principal and will take John Douchinsky’s place after his retirement this year. Julie Thompson, previously the middle/high school assistant principal, was appointed as the new high school principal.
Both women were present and were congratulated by attendees and the BOE. The appointments took place after a review of LINKS. The presentation involved an overview of the past academic year, along with strategies and plans for 2014-15. Further comments from the school administration regarding the appointments and hiring process are pending. They will appear in an upcoming Evening Sun article.
