Crews respond to car fire in New Berlin

NEW BERLIN – A vehicle fire that occurred on County Road 29 – King Settlement Road – at approximately 10:51 a.m. on Sunday, left the vehicle totally burned, but all passengers and the driver were able to make it out of the van thanks to the the assistance of first responders, said the driver of the vehicle.
“I would just like to thank the New Berlin Fire Department,” said Andrew Howe. “Thank god my family made it out alive and every one is okay.”
Howe extended his appreciation to Bob Greenman, who helped to move the vehicle following the incident.
According to authorities, when the fire department arrived, it was a “fully involved fire.” All occupants were safe.
New Berlin Fire Chief Barry Jacobs did not return a call as of press time, therefore the cause of the fire and other specifics remain unknown.
