Facebook assists in larceny arrests

NORWICH – Four men who allegedly stole more than $1,100 worth of goods from a business in the Town of Norwich in early June were recently arrested for grand larceny in the fourth degree and conspiracy in the fifth degree.

Lawrence Golden, 53, Pitcher; Corey Little, 37, Cortland; Chad Cain, 30, Cortland; and Richard Small, 38, Cortland, were arrested and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility. They will reappear in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.

Little, who is facing the same charges as the other defendants, was also charged with a burglary charge. At some time in the past, the business had a no trespass order placed against him, explained Lieutenant Richard Cobb of the Chenango County Sheriff's Office.

A complaint was issued to CCSO after the business did an inventory check and it was discovered that a number of items were missing. Footage from the business' cameras helped identify the culprits, who allegedly stole the items on June 4. Items included a computer printer and other home goods.
