NORWICH – The September trial for Ganesh R. Ramsaran is fast approaching, and on Monday, Chenango County Court Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr. determined that Eileen Sayles will serve as a material witness in the case.

Ramsaran is facing murder charges, as it is alleged that he killed his wife, Jennifer Ramsaran.

The Chenango County District Attorney's Office made the original application for Sayles to serve as a material witness. Evidence was presented from the DA's Office as to why she would be appropriate as a material witness. Rather than contesting the appointment, Sayles waived her right to a hearing, and agreed to the terms presented by the court.
