Parolee attempts to evade custody, located by police within hours
NORWICH – On Monday, Norwich Police executed a search for 25-year-old male Christoher A. Bonno, a wanted parole absconder.
Bonno, who was spotted by a Norwich Police Department detective in an unmarked car at approximately 3:50 p.m., fled on foot according to authorities.
Police said Bonno ran through several private yards while trying to evade being placed into custody.
At approximately 7 p.m., Norwich Police were alerted to a pedestrian on Mitchell St., fitting Bonno’s description. Norwich Police officers responded to the area and observed a shirtless male walking on State St.
“The male was wearing a t-shirt on his head, covering his hair,” said Norwich Police Chief Joseph Angelino. “Officers approached, recognized Bonno and a foot pursit ensued.”
